We have recently transitioned to the RSP Management Consultancy Services LLP entity from the year 2024.           Job Title    : Senior Software Python Django Developer (Mid-Level)           Location   : Chennai, Tamil Nadu           Industry   : Auditing and Consultancy Services (IT / Risk / Compliance / Advisory)           Salary       : Based on domain knowledge and service experience Job Summary             We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Django Developer with 4–5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF), along with frontend technologies and database management. The role requires hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade applications, RESTful APIs, authentication systems, and performance-optimized solutions. Key Responsibilities   Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Python and Django Framework. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF). Implement reusable, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices. Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Database Management: Design and maintain database schemas using PostgreSQL/SQL. Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and efficient schema design. Ensure data integrity, security, and scalability of database solutions.   Security & Access Management: Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms including JWT Authentication Session-based Authentication Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Ensure application security and compliance with secure coding practices. API & System Integration: Develop and integrate REST APIs with internal and external systems. Ensure API scalability, documentation, and performance. Support integration between frontend and backend services.   System Design & Architecture: Participate in Low-Level Design (LLD) and architectural discussions. Contribute to application design decisions for scalability, maintainability, and performance. Understand and support both Monolithic and Microservices-based architectures.   DevOps & Version Control: Utilize Docker for containerized application deployment. Manage source code using Git/GitHub. Support CI/CD and deployment-related activities where required.   Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues. Monitor and optimize application performance. Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Relevant certifications in Python, Django, Cloud Technologies, or DevOps will be an added advantage. Developing and maintaining production-grade web applications. Designing and implementing scalable RESTful APIs. Implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, including RBAC. Developing and optimizing PostgreSQL database schemas and complex queries. Integrating frontend and backend components effectively. Troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing application performance. Delivering applications throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Preferred Skills:   Experience working with multi-tenant applications (schema-based or shared database architecture). Experience developing enterprise business applications such as: GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) CRM (Customer Relationship Management) HRMS (Human Resource Management Systems) Knowledge of Celery, Redis, and asynchronous/background task processing. Strong understanding of: Software Design Principles Clean Architecture Design Patterns Coding Standards and Best Practices Experience in: Database Design Query Optimization Performance Tuning Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
