Plant Manager - Manufacturing

I am looking for a hands-on, technical Plant Manager to work for one of the UK's leading manufacturers - with solid experience in driving continuous improvement and optimisation of all processes. The incumbent will oversee all daily operations of the plant covering production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.

Responsibilities:
You will need the key skills to refine processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. 
As Plant Manager you will be responsible for planning, organising, giving direction and oversee optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
You will have a track record of increasing production, assets capacity while eradicating unnecessary costs.
You will be responsible for production metrics, quality of product and on-time shipping of goods.
You must have previous experience with implementing strategies in alignment with company initiatives and act as an effective change manager
The Plant Manager will also monitor operations and action suitable resolutions.
You will have experience in collecting and analysing data to identify areas of improvement
The Plant Manager must be able to develop systems and processes that track and optimise productivity and overall standards, metrics and performance targets.
You must also champion plant safety procedures
Requirements:
The right candidate will have previous experience as a plant manager within a Manufacturing facility.
You will possess solid business and management acumen (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources)
Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise is also needed.
Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
You must also possess strong team building, decision-making and people management attributes
BS degree in Business Management or related field
