Responsibilities:
Manage day to day IT operations and Infrastructure Engineering activities of the team including Network and Unified Communications.
Team management, recruitment and evaluation of talent, as well as the ability to grow and develop the team.
Develops and manages external relationships with Professional Services companies to ensure that implementation services are cost effective, complete and consistent with Intuit IT network standards and practices.
Provides detailed standard documents and roadmaps and direction for field-based engineering staff aligned with Long Range strategies, business input, and technology lifecycle. Provide standards, guidelines and direction to the network engineering group in order to support projects, initiatives and activities supporting our business partners.
Partner with other Network Services groups, manage and continually improve the design review process to ensure Designs are in compliance with network standards and long range initiatives.
Manage a 24/7/365 network and communication infrastructure spanning the globe via a distributed Engineering support model.
Budgeting and capacity planning, as well as systems performance and uptime monitoring.
Project management of projects, initiatives driven by the APAC team
Providing responsible reporting metrics to senior management.
Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
Build a culture of Innovation, technical excellence and operational excellence in the team
Collaborate with various stakeholders in the organization and build a brand for the team
Demonstrate high degree of employee engagement while delivering on other business priorities
Mentor colleagues to enhance the overall leadership skills in the organization
Build a seamless working relationship between IDC, US and other international sites teams involving operations, engineering, architecture and other support teams
Ability to help to bring out the best ideas from the best engineers by empowering them and leading by example.
Drive adoption of best practices, tools, automation, systems and metrics across the organization
Ability to solve complex problems in Enterprise Network and UC domain
Experience in Agile methodology is a plus

At least 12 years of IT Industry experience with strong leadership and hands-on experience in the Enterprise LAN/WAN and Unified Communications
Ability to identify and address both strategic and tactical needs for the organization effectively
Ability to work with senior management and articulate team’s deliverables and focus
Able to adapt to the working culture of the organization and deliver business critical outcomes
Proven experience in project management of large scale enterprise infrastructure
Experience in implementing ITIL and other industry standard process
Industry certifications in Leadership and relevant Technical domains
BS in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Business or related field experience
8-12 years direct telecommunications or networking industry
3-5 years management experience
Experience managing VAR’s, Telecom Vendors and Cloud Services Providers.
The proven ability to manage a team of 6 – 8 Engineers
Experience with Avaya PBXs
Experience with Cisco UC equipment – Call Manager, Unity, Jabber, VCS, TMS, SIP, H323, RTP
Experience with Cisco and/or Brocade network equipment
Experience with Cisco and/or Aruba wireless
Experience with Acme Packet SBC’s, SIP trunking
Knowledge of the following; IP, MPLS, Ethernet, Layer 2/3, VoIP, PBX, TDM, BGP, OSPF
Knowledge of large scale voice engineering and implementation including costing, models, risk assessments, GAP Analysis, detailed design documents, and acceptance testing.
Excellent customer service, decision making and analytical skills.
Knowledge of network security
Knowledge of network capacity planning
Superior problem solving and conflict management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project & Microsoft Visio.

As an essential function of this position, the Senior Engineering Manager must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and be congenial with other employees and customers at all times.
